  • Beware of flying manhole covers

Mt.Clemens Michigan is apparently the gassiest city in the Midwest. On an otherwise peaceful spring morning afternoon in this idyllic community a series of powerful explosions rocked the downtown area the cause, methane gas in the sewer system or more likely the chili special at the local diner. The balmy breeze blew afoul as a fire in the sewer system ignited the final by product of a time honored favorite lunch of the locals:chili.

Not just any chili, but the famous 5 bean Macarena Madness chili served in a local eatery. Unconfirmed reports say that around 3:15 p.m. there was a severe drop in water pressure due to high volume of water usage. One can only assume there was a rush by the populous to evacuate the fast moving meal. Shortly after a small electrical fire broke out in the sewage system causing massive explosions of the methane rich substance. 100 lb manhole covers were tossed through the air like giant poker chips of death in a casino of death and mayhem. Horrified shopkeepers and their employees scattered not knowing where to run. "It was like being trapped in a minefield never knowing which step might be your last:. Said me as I stood speechless and wondering"why...why...why.." why do these sewers hate us...
