  • Chicago Show Venue Change

Due to unforeseen production issues, the show on Tuesday, April 22 is being moved from City Winery to Park West at 322 W. Armitage.

All tickets purchased for the City Winery show will be honored and ticket holders for the City Winery show will be offered priority entry to the show as well as access to reserved premium seating in the front of the venue.  These seats will be general admission and are going to be filled on a first come, first served basis.

Chicago Show Venue Change

Can you please get involved here? Many ticket-holding fans are livid that now the show is first come first served. It would be very simple for Park West to merely assign corresponding seats matching up with the tickets that were sold for the City Winery show. This is infuriating.

'am in total agreement with @ChoclatierLL; time for John, Robby and their staff to do the right thing...set up the 300 reserve-ticket holders from the C/W show in front comparable reserved-seats @ the Pk/West; please show the dedicated Chicago fans some sincerity & respect; Tina..are you listening?

The Park West complaint line number is 773-929-1322. Let's make our voices heard on this, people. I took off work to order tickets for the CW show because I knew the place was tiny and would sell out immediately. I refuse to be in a cattle call for general admission seats, only to have people show up at 6am to get the seats I already paid for. I'll be calling Park West first thing Monday for satisfaction.

The venue is full of it, dear. I've had reserved seats at Park West for shows in the past. They're lying to you because they don't want to be bothered with it. I was told today, Tuesday, that there's no manager there all week since they don't have any shows til Friday! What a crock! I plan on making sure Facebook and Twitter hear ALL about Park West's lovely business practices.

If anyone is looking to sell their original City Winery tickets please let me know. I am looking for 2. Thanks!

It's all about Doing The Right Thing....The capacity-at the Park West-is around 750 tickets...more than enough space to accommodate the City Winery's 300 RESERVED seat-tickets sold; I've been to several reserved-seat shows @ the Pk/West, including Counting Crows & John Hiatt to name a few....It's all about Doing The Right Thing....The Albany, NY show (on 4/9) had to be "moved to accommodate production requirements"...and those ticket-buyers "tickets were changed to a (RESERVED) seat of equal-quality or better"...NOT first come-first serve..general admission. GGDolls...please Do The Right Thing for 300 dedicated Chicago fans - who have given you their support as well as their money. Thanks.

I am SOOOOO mad about this! I had a reserved seat at the front table in the center of the stage. Now I have to wait in line as another member said, go through the Cattle call, just to fight my way to get a decent seat when I Already HAD a reserved seat. I live in the burbs, now I will have to leave work early to go stand in line. Not to mention the weather, pouring down rain? Always a possibility, and Not my idea of fun. Inconsiderate all the way around! Somebody needs to step in here and do the right thing.

Add to the list of horrible customer service from the Park West dbags: upon calling and simply asking for a manager's name about this, I was hung up on TWICE! Unbelievable! This is how you treat your customers Puke West? This is where the band/management needs to step in on behalf of its devoted fans. Assign the damn seats!

@ChocolatierLL is correct...Park West has & does host reserved-seat events. Been there..done that; Last summer, I met John & Robby..and they told me - that they monitor & post on Twitter...I don't have an active Twitter account..but maybe a I/M member could place a Twitter-post asking for John or Robby to make this situation right...especially since (E)tina has yet to respond -at all- to our frustrated pleas for help. For me personally-I find this Pk/W "first-come first-serve/general admission" situation very disappointing. Even more so-after the Albany, NY fans (who bought reserved tickets to the GGD April 9th show..and then the venue was changed) were treated properly. Their "tickets were changed to a RESERVED seat of equal quality or better"...We Chicago fans paid our money too..for reserved seats..but yet we are not treated the same. Maybe a member can post on Twitter - asking John or Robby to intervene and Do The Right Thing.

Park West manager told me today she'd be willing to offer me a reserved seat in the BACK OF THE ROOM! Really? And that's a comparable equivalent seat to stageside? Really? Why is this so difficult?! GGD, step in and simply ask the club to designate equivalent seats! She also informed me that by making waves as I have, I've become public enemy number 1 to her staff! Lmao! Good-can't wait to see you good folks at Park West that night....

I posted a comment yesterday asking questions about this venue change in Chicago and I can't find it anywhere. I am in Canada and will only be flying in the day of the concert. I never made any mean or rude or comment with bad language. I only made inquiries as I have no physical tickets and as I was coming to Chicago only to see the GGD's if I end up with an expensive trip and can't see the concert, I'd like to know now so I can cancel my flights and reservations for another time. Besides my questions about the concert/venue change etc. Now I am curious why my post from yesterday April 13 is no where to be found. The most recent post I see is April 11th. help

Can the adoring GGDs fans, paying ticket holders, get a little respect and effort on the part of this site? Not sure what exactly my paying for membership here is getting me if there's zero effort to lean on the lying management at Park West to simply reserve seats. Other venues have taken care of this. Fans traveling from great distances deserve some respect and credit. Why the silent treatment?

Chicago fans: I'm in touch with Livenation to address this general admission nonsense, and the lies foisted upon us by Park West management. According to The Egg, the theater in Albany in a similar situation that indeed assigned seats, Livenation has the stroke to make it happen and avoid the cattle call. Their email is customer_support@livenation.com. With enough complaints, they can get it done. I can't promise I'll succeed folks but giving it my best shot.
This site has gone very noticeably silent and unresponsive.....

  • The venue was completely unhelpful. They say none of their shows are reserved seating. As far as i can tell, this was a band management decision. It's not the venue's fault. Doors are at 7.
