    About the Good Shepherd Shelter:

Good Shepherd Shelter is a transitional shelter for battered women and their children. The program focuses on treatment, education and healing. It is unique in that it is the only shelter with separate family apartment units, K-5 elementary school, child development center, an adult learning center, therapeutic services and legal advocacy— all on site.

Good Shepherd Shelter’s mission is to stop the generational cycle of domestic violence by providing individualized, comprehensive services and shelter to battered women and their children and by raising the level of community awareness through advocacy and education. Since 1977 GSS has only had the capacity to help 12 women and their children escape and stop the generational cycle of domestic violence.
