April 21, 2014 - The Goo Goo Dolls announced today that tonight’s show in Lexington, KY at the Lyric Theatre is cancelled. Unfortunately, lead singer Johnny Rzeznik has temporarily lost his voice and is on mandated vocal rest until further notice. Tickets are available to refund at the point of purchase. As of now, the remaining tour dates have not been cancelled.

The Goo Goo Dolls are in the midst of a much-lauded acoustic tour called The Otis Midnight Sessions, and will embark on an extensive amphitheater and arena tour this June with Daughtry. The multi-platinum, Grammy-nominated band are touring in support of their 10thstudio album Magnetic, which debuted at No. 8 on the Billboard Top 200 chart and No. 2 on the Top Rock Albums chart.

I hope the show is still on for Tuesday evening in Chicago. Either way, please post an update as to whether the show will go on or if it will be cancelled. We are driving 4+ hours and do not want to drive all the way up there for nothing.

Sure seems like the Chicago show is cursed. First, the move to the absolutely horribly mismanaged and customer unfriendly Park West from the fantastic City Winery, and now Johnny falls ill. Best case scenario is he gets well soon and we get a make up date ANYWHERE but the lousy Park West.
Get well soon, John.....

Any news on when this show will be rescheduled? I had 4 tickets I bought in January?....hope john is feeling better soon...vitamin C and honey :)
