Cool! I'm the first one to comment! Well John I wouldn't know anything about being Polish but I'll take your word for it since you seem to lead an exciting life.

well... I keep thinking bad thoughts... about polish sausage LOL

haha...Look at that Polish pride...that fan did their research!

I don't know if you guys will see this, but I just have to say THANK YOU!!! My pre-sale tickets for the Irvine show were absolutely unbelievable!! 2nd row center in the pit, are you kidding me? I've been to 15 shows, and this was the best since my first at The Galaxy in Santa Ana (about 100 seats)! You guys rock and sure know how to make your fans feel appreciated!! Love you guys! Ami in OC

I'd write the nursey rhyme I can speak in Polish as if I were playing w/ a little kid & making him laugh, but I can't spell it. We know the 9 consonants & two vowel code... Being part Polish & able to spell Zebowowski & Wlodarczyk w/out looking at the keyboard has got to count for something?!

Would that be shoe polish?

haha that's hilarious!

"Polish people DO kick ass"

I'm Polish :) And Belgian and there's some other stuff in me too...

Great gift to the fan that gave it to him!!!

I got some polish in me as well....

Ah, the joys of being Polish... well, I'm only 1/4 Polish, but still. hah. I'm not really sure if that counts, but I'll take it just for John. ;P

Are polish men good lovers?

i love that "john" is written in that early 90's scrapbook style....classic.

This is a cool gift..who gave it? Tell us the story...

Well.. I'm 100% Polish :D So I win this time ;) Anyhow, a great gift :) I also would like to hear the story!

Being Polish does rock! Mmmm perogies...Dyngus Day...polka...I heart my roots

That's too funny - I think my mom would laugh her ass off if she saw that! I know my Babcia would (Grandma)

Babcia(s) are cool :) !!!
.. reading your posts gives me so much pleasure :)
.. and yes, being Polish rocks :)

I am a little Polish myself! My grandma(RIP) had the best perogie recipe..she sent them to a local polka radio station, and from time to time she would call in the station...and they called her "the perogie lady"-lol "the best perogies in the city", they said. Thought I'd share that with you...cool sign! :)

btw..i have my grandma's recipe!

:) I can do them myself :) In Polish you say *pierogi* but the way you write it helps with the Polish pronunciation of the word :) BTW, I'm thinking about moving the topic to the forum section.. :) If you decide to do this, let me know :)
Have you ever John say anything in Polish? I haven't..

Johnny's goody bag

why do most polish last names have a "z" or "ski" in them??

Well.. Actually.. Cannot tell you.. :) Cause I don't know :) The endings are -cki or -ski :) It's always been this way :)

Oh Yeah - this one's in the bag Johnny! xx

Yea, my last name is Zientarski! And it IS very xciting 2 be Polish!

It's funny you know.. Cause in Poland your last name would be *Zientarska* cause this is the feminine ending. But in the US everybody has the masculine :)

What's long & hard on a Polish guy?
Third grade!

Haha. I never get tired of that one.

  • OH, HOW I SO AGREE!

  • If this was mine (Johnny) I would put it on the wall next to my bed!! Polish men can be real nice and sweet, then they can also be mean (but, not you Johnnny!!)
    Hugs,
    Charlotte

  • I want that plate!

  • im not polish, but i would like to get some in me tho... heheheh

  • too cute

  • :) You don't have to mention them.. :D Ehhhh... :)

  • i guess it must be exciting to be polish cuz john certainly is exciting among other things that I choose not to mention

  • one-fourth of course :)

  • Love to read your posts :) Full of sunshine.. My Polish..half-Polish or one-third Polish fellows :) Take care :)

  • I'm a Chicago-born Polish girl (my maternal and paternal ancestors took the big boats over here in the early 1900s and decided to settle west of Buffalo, NY). Going to that other Polish-American capital, Milwaukee, for the July 9th Summerfest concert with my two young daughters, Melissa and Gwyneth, who are big fans, too! Bummed that we didn't win the "Meet & Greet" lotto, but still looking forward to a great concert. Dzienkuje, John, for making our Polish-American and socially-conscious Catholic heritage proud through your work and outlook on life!!!!! Sto lat!
P.S. Visited a childhood girlfriend mid-June in Denver and saw the movie "Top Gun" at Red Rocks as part of their summer film festival. The newest photos proved it--what a magnificently beautiful place to have a concert! Wished I could have stayed longer for that gig but had to head back home to Chicago!
    Love your music, guys!
    Maria (a.k.a. Marysia in Polish!)

  • i've heard john say he can swear proficiently in polish. i wish he would say some other things to me in polish...

  • Isn't that funny how there are always so many comments on the pictures that have something to do with John? Anyway, this picture reminded me of the Buffalo concert on July 4, 2004. "Polish guys DO kick ass."

  • Yes, Sunnyday-John spoke to me in Polish! It was awesome! Email me okay?

  • Dziekuje bardzo! I'm extremely proud of my Polish heritage too! While in Boston over the long weekend, I actually got to eat in a polonia deli which is very unusual in a town of mainly Irish and Italian immigrants! Homemade Pierogies like the kind my mother taught me how to make are the best! Sunnyday, I told you he was very proud of being Polish! I'm glad you got to see that!

  • Yes it is.

  • nothing wrong with that!!!!
