This is very cool. Didn't know there was a memorial for the dogs but they have a played an important role. Can someone tell me WHERE in NJ this is?

Beautiful - how lucky you guys are to visit monuments like this. Thanks for sharing it with us.

what a cool memorial!!

I love you guys sooooo much! Have a great show! See you soon...

Cool memorial-every person AND animal who served our country should get their tributes. :D I SALUTE THEM!

Dogs ....Man's Best Friend.
UNCONDITIONAL LOVE .....In Life and in Death ......Nice that there's a place like this ...(Matters not that cemeteries are for the living)

love you guys sooo much - thanks for sharing - have a great night - can't wait to see you.

Someone asked where this is ... it's in Holmdel, by PNC.

I remember contributing to the effort for this memorial, but I didn't know it came to fruition. I'm so glad our canine war heroes are being recognized, too.

Do you know about anti-tank dogs...?
It's a very sad story.

Thank you for the info that this is in Holmdel, by PNC. I want to make sure if I am in that area that I go see it.

cool statue

PNC concert ROCKED!!! and John the next line was ,They press their lips againest you... LOL you handled it perfect, showing us fans that your still a down to earth guy no matter how famous you've become....that why we all love you guys!!! And to the little girl who won the meet and greet tickets from PLJ for Jones Beach, sitting next to you and watching you beam as they sang made the concert for me, thank you and rock on little one, I hope its something you'll remember for a lifetime.... best of luck to you and your mom.

This is part of the Viet Nam War memorial at the PNC. If you go up the hill on the right side as you face the PNC entrance, it's there. I sent a note to Robby a while back telling him about this place and I thought he would like to pay tribute. He obviously did and I think EVERYONE should visit this place before they enjoy the freedoms these people sacrificed for. I know I do everytime I go to the PNC. It's a very cool circle that also has a bronze statue that pays tribute to the fallen. The memorial itself is a circle of 366 marble slabs laid vertically that have everyone's name and date they died from New Jersey in Date order. Please go and see it! :)

Wow. Only4Her ....That's some great information, Thank you for that.I almost felt/hoped anyway I was there .....Love, Linda

Love the statue guys. I just love dogs.

Hey guys how's it going???
2394 how are you doing??? Hello, to all of my goo sisters....Let's get together and have a blogging party...What do ya say girls...Are you game???

Wow! I never knew there was such a memorial. That is truly cool. And, very sad.

That is UNBELIEVABLY COOL. And so merited. Dogs give us so much and demand so little in return...we truly don't deserve them when you consider all that we put them through so that they can service us... Hail to the dogs!!! P.S. And if anyone is interested there was a famous little WWII Yorkie who used to jump out of airplanes with his reconnaissance-photographer owner, William (Bill) Wynne. He wrote a book about his adventures with this dog, Smoky (who was female, actually!), in a book called "Yorkie Doodle Dandy". Bill is in his 80s now, I think, but still has an active website... check it out!! I corresponded with him about 9 yrs ago... VERY nice man. And a true hero.

Yes, only4her, I agree with you 100 per cent! Everyone needs to visit this Vietnam war memorial. The canine units deserve recognition as well. I've never seen this soldier and his best friend~love it! My cousin fought in Vietnam only to be killed when he got back home by some "slaphappy" baton carrying cops who didn't ask questions and swung first~that broke my father's heart~we tried to convict them in court but the prosecutor just defended their deadly actions~extremely sad day for me........he was a young, bright engineer who had his whole life ahead of him too. He served in the Navy Seals. RIP Jimmy! We Love and Respect You!

Hi Stargirl, Bluedust, Rusnock, Sharon, LSNaturegirl, only4her, and all the rest~Hope your summer is going well and you all enjoy your shows! I just returned from a 9-day Western Caribbean cruise which was a surprise from my husband for my birthday but missed my PNC and JB shows :( He surprised me two days before we were leaving and I had to be packed and ready to go in a New York minute! LOL! It was a most amazing experience though~I loved it! Swam with dolphins in Cozumel, climbed rockfalls in Jamaica, kayaked and snorkeled in Grand Cayman, and had a blast! I'm going to upload and post some of the best ones on myspace. All I can say is if you ever get the chance to go, don't hesitate! These places were so naturally beautiful they reminded me of the Ray Charles' song "What a Wonderful World" that Joey Ramone covered right before he moved on to the next part of his soul's journey....life is too short to miss a thing! Now, whoever has 2 tickets for either the Borgata or Mohegan Sun please pm me.

Oh cool. Poor doggies.

Military Working Dogs are awesome....and save a lot of lives....they absolutely deserve their own memorial. They are very devoted to their handlers and their handlers love them. I love them too, although some are so mean that it is dificult to get near them!!
