Thomas Jefferson, 1786

Hey thanks for the info Irish. This one is also a very great writing.

Robby : I know of but one code of morality.
Mike : So is my taco bell decoder ring it?
Robby : I don't know, let me see it.
Mike : No way! It took me 25 drive through orders to get it.
Robby : Come on! Pleeeeeease!
Mike : Ok, but you better give it back!
John : Oh no, here we go again!
Robby : It's mine, all mine!
Mike : Give me it back!
Robby : It's mine now!
Mike : Give it back!

Mike and Robby were last seen tumbling down the steps of the Capitol Building wrestling over the decoder ring.

Getting a lot of history in this tour :)

A1J2, you have a point there, my best friend is a Jehovah Witness and she can't say it, but she still has to stand up and she hates it. I don't believe that it's right to have it in public schools either, though I have no objection saying it myself.

makes you think, doesn't it?!

Very powerful words.
Where is this?
Thanks for posting these all theses pictures from D.C.

Thomas Jefferson,3rd President of the US who was responsible for drafting The Declaration of Independence, and a strong proponent of freedom! In the thick of party conflict in 1800, Thomas Jefferson wrote in a private letter, "I have sworn upon the altar of God eternal hostility against every form of tyranny over the mind of man."

We really need to revisit the powerful ideas this country was built upon. What's sad is that most of the important ideas have been perverted in the modern school systems today and kids don't recognize what really matters. The public school system has been busy rewriting history to further their collective agenda! I'm shocked at the number of high schoolers who have no idea who TJ is or what the Constitution represents. They're more interested in what celebs have to say! Now that's sad.......

Terrigoo! You go girl!
High Schoolers? Don't limit this to just high schoolers...I've run across some interesting young adults with college degrees that have no idea who wrote or drafted The Constitution...or what it means. Through it all...I still remain positive. This is the greatest country in the world!

i agree!

Touring DC, huh guys? That's cool.

Thank you Theresa Ann. It's the truth isn't it?

Hey Terigoo and TheresaAnn i agree with you, I've come across people in high school and adults too that really make you want to ask if they are really that dumb, and then they try to talk about other cultures and/or religions and it bugs the shit outta me! I swear you wouldn't believe how many times I've interrupted a conversation to correct someone's bull headed idea on what Islam is, and when I tell them that the first half of the Koran is the same as the 1st Testament in the Bible, and the 1st half of the Torah, they just stare and then shut up thankfully. Ignorance is truly going to be the undoing of our society. But we can still hope.

Dear TeriGoo and Theresa Ann, I am on the same page as both of you. I work in a college and I am shocked at the number of students who don't know, or care to know, about this country's history. It's truly sad.

Missy....when I said what I said about the pledge... I meant I'm for it! They have done away with it in my childs school for that very reason. I disagree with it! I think it should be done. However if a child's religion, keeps that child from being able to say it so be it they should be able to sit thru it. However, It is up to the parents to reinerate what it means to stand and what it means to sit. So that no one child can take advantage of that liberty. I'm sorry you misunderstood me. I mean no disrespect in you opinions though. THAT is the power of FREEDOM.... being able to state your opinion. Whether it be a vocal idfference of opinion or a physical liberty to be able to sit thru a pledge. ~ Kari aka Blessed By Goo
