So....you guys did get to go see The Alamo! A little "Republic of Texas" history.

it must have been humbling to stand in such a historic place

The thirteen day Siege of the Alamo ended as Mexican General Antonio López de Santa Anna's forces defeated the 183 Texans defending the small mission (which would eventually become the center of the city of San Antonio). Remember the Alamo! became the battle cry of the Texas Revolution. The Battle of San Jacinto was fought on April 21, 1836, near the present-day city of Houston. General Santa Anna's entire force of 1,600 men were killed or captured by Texas General Sam Houston's army of 800 Texans; only nine Texans died. This decisive battle resulted in Texas's independence from Mexico.

I feel like I am in history class

I wonder if they'll get to see the basement. ;)

Sorry, I always think of PeeWee when I see pictures of the Alamo.

Lol Chiquita...i did too!

Thanks for posting these pictures, I hope some day to see this in person!!!!
I love historic places.

Chiquita, you beat me to it! LOL

I was there like 3 months ago! Darn it, I'm never in the right place at the right time!

Ah, now this looks more familiar to me.

John : Robby!
Robby : What?
John : Get off the damn grass!
Robby : Yes dad!
Brad : Can I go one the grass?
John : No! Man you guys are driving me buts!
Mike : I thought Wild Bill was driving?
John : Lord help me!

I just hope nobody peed on it like Ozzy did......he is band or was from playing in the city after that!

Got to visit this once when I was a kid....was very cool!!

I love San Antonio. It's probably my favorite city in Texas. The Alamo is amazing.

ahhhh, The Alamo, the very place that got Ozzy banned from the great state of Texas. He was drunk, had to pee, saw a wall....

cool. i'm sure they all enjoyed it, especially mike and john.

You guys must really blend in well with the crowd! None of these people in the picture seem to realize that one of the GGD's is probably taking this picture. I would have expected to see AT LEAST one person in the picture pointing with a HUGE smile on their face. And another running in that direction arms outstretched!

REMEEMBER OUR ALAMO GUYS!!! Great to see and meet ya';; again! Stay cool! :D

That's the Alamo? I definitely intend on seeing that one day. Thanks for the incredible photos guys!

I was there last May. The Alamo is much smaller when you see it up close.
